The Tom Aynsley Foundation was established to provide coffee producing communities with much needed support in day-to-day areas of life as they move towards longer term sustainability. This includes the need for support of children in schools, farmers and their families, and agricultural implements, equipment and infrastructure.

Tom was a talented and principled young man who believed in fairness, honesty and integrity in all he was involved with. He loved everything about coffee and chose to devote his working life to the coffee industry. He was particularly interested in the communities that produce coffee, he believed that these communities must be ethical and produce organic coffee.

When Tom passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in March 2017, his family established a Memorial Foundation in remembrance of Tom with the objective of providing assistance to the communities that produce coffee.

Tom’s Foundation conducted research and identified areas where the Foundation can be effective in providing support and improving lives in coffee growing communities. This resulted in a focus in two main areas:

• Improving education of children of farmers and workers who are living and working in coffee growing communities - this is currently the primary focus.

• Essential agricultural support for Small-holder coffee producing communities in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea

Tom's Foundation is open-ended and receives donations both directly from supporters and through organised fund-raisings. 100% of donated funds received into the Foundation's accounts are deployed to support Tom’s legacy.

Tom’s Foundation seeks donations from individuals and organisations that share a common passion for growth and development of communities that are vital to the ethical and sustainable production of coffee.
